'A tidy little player' - Everton fans react on Twitter to reported interest in 24-year-old

By Danny Wright

Everton fans have taken to Twitter to give a mixed reaction to a report which claims that they are interested in West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini.

The Mirror has reported that the 24-year-old is the most recent of a number of attacking midfielders that are being linked with move to Goodison Park as Ross Barkley’s future at the club remains a mystery.

Ronald Koeman is said to be after Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson while a separate report in the Mirror says that Ajax captain Davy Klaassen is also a target.

Lanzini has been crucial to West Ham’s season ever since Dimitri Payet was sold to Marseille in January.

The Argentine has scored eight goals and supplied two assists in 34 league appearances this term and it is reported in the Mirror that the Hammers do not wish to sell him.

The Mirror has previously reported that Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal in the race to sign Lanzini, who is rated at £30million.

Lanzini was signed by West Ham initially on a loan deal from UAE club Al Jazira Club before making his move permanent in March 2016.

Everton fans don’t seem to agree on what to think about the Hammers playmaker though, despite teams above them in the Premier League standings holding an interest in him.
