Everton fans have reacted with excitement on Twitter after Gareth Barry, Leighton Baines and Mason Holgate signed new contracts.
Barry’s previous deal was set to expire in six months’ time, but Ronald Koeman has acted by handing him a 12-month extension while Baines has signed on at Goodison Park until 2019.
Youngster Holgate will remain with the Merseyside giants until 2021, after Everton revealed the news on their official website.

Everton fans have reacted with delight on Twitter to see the trio put pen to paper on a new deal, with many praising the quick work of Koeman to conclude the deals.

Understand Holgate getting an improved and longer deal. And one more year for Baines and Barry should help for now, while sqd is improved

Barry, 35, will be delighted to sign a new Toffees deal as he closes in on the Premier League appearances record. Currently sitting on 609, he is only 23 away from Ryan Giggs’ record.
Baines is set to remain on Merseyside for more than a decade with the new deal, while Mason Holgate is expected to shine in the future after making his Premier League debut this season against Tottenham.
