'Has a rabbit's brain', Give him away in a raffle - Everton fans destroy 6ft 1in player after win
By Richard Parks
Everton fans took to Twitter to destroy Yannick Bolasie for his performance in their team’s 1-0 Premier League win against Newcastle United on Monday night.
The DR Congo international was named in the starting XI for the sixth consecutive match as Sam Allardyce’s side secured their first win in four through a second-half Theo Walcott goal.
It was Walcott’s first goal since January as the Goodison Park hosts moved up to eighth in the Premier League.
But Everton fans were neither happy with the style of the performance, or the display from some of their big-money players on show.
One of those who was heavily criticised on social media during and after the match was ex-Crystal Palace winger Bolasie, who has been a regular in recent months since recovering from the knee injury that sidelined him for a year.

Supporters universally laid into the 28-year-old, with comments including he “has a rabbit’s brain” and should be sold in a raffle during the summer window.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Thoughts on that? Everton are absolutely dire to watch under Allardyce. Jordan Pickford is a prince. Michael Keane actually looked like a defender. Yannick Bolasie has a rabbit’s brain. Rooney has completely lost it. Newcastle supporters are all fat. #EFC

How flat was Goodison tonight? Could have made more atmosphere sitting on the sofa with a packet of crisps. One shot on goal. Made up for @JPickford1 after the stick he got. Better from Schneiderlin. Bolasie awful again. Gana everywhere. #efc #allardyceout

This game is crying out for 2 strikers. Rooney has done very little again and Bolasie is non existent. Morgan again doing well. Seems to have overcome his bad run. #efc
