‘Everton PSR update emerges as Goodison Park to stay in business’
Everton have confirmed that Goodison Park will remain in use past the end of the current Premier League season.
The Toffees’ men’s side are playing their last ever Premier League fixture at Goodison Park on Sunday, 18 May, when they host Southampton ahead of next season’s move to Bramley-Moore Dock.
But the Everton Women’s team is now set to take residence at the famous old ground from the start of the 2025/26 Women’s Super League campaign.
Everton supporters will be desperate to see the Blues beat already-relegated Southampton this weekend after they failed to beat Ipswich last time out on home soil.
David Moyes’ men have momentum on their side after beating Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday, 10 May, despite falling 1-0 behind.

Everton’s PSR will not be affected by women’s move to Goodison Park
The Merseyside outfit have fallen foul of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules in recent years, and were consequently deducted eight points last season.
Opponent | Result |
Chelsea (A) | 1-0 L |
Ipswich (H) | 2-2 D |
Fulham (A) | 1-3 W |
Meanwhile, Chelsea recently sold their women’s side to their parent company, which boosted their PSR position.
According to the Liverpool Echo, The Friedkin Group have invested heavily in the Everton Women’s side, but their move to Goodison Park will not have significant PSR implications beyond commercial revenue.

Everton could be set for a busy summer transfer window
Now that the future of Goodison Park and Everton’s PSR matters have become clearer, the Toffees can turn their attention towards the summer transfer window.
When Moyes was re-appointed to the Blues dug out, he was tasked with keeping his side in the Premier League after inheriting the struggles overseen by former boss Sean Dyche.
However, the 62-year-old has passed that test with flying colours, and Everton now sit 13th in the top flight, 20 points clear of the relegation zone.
The Toffees will now hope to trouble the top-half spots next term, but will have to recruit well over the summer transfer window to do that.
With that in mind, Everton have set their sights on a move for Ipswich forward Liam Delap, who has scored 12 Premier League goals this season, even though the Tractor Boys are set for an immediate Championship return.
Delap’s signature could kickstart a successful window for Everton, albeit the England Under-21 international has also attracted transfer interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
