Everton have suffered 'huge blow' after Digne injury update via Twitter insider - pundit
Everton defender Lucas Digne will miss this Sunday’s game against West Ham with the hamstring injury he suffered on international duty.
That is the view of former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the “huge blow” to Rafael Benitez’s side.
Digne has returned to Finch Farm after injuring his hamstring while away with France.
Everton insider The Bobble claimed on Twitter (October 8th) that the left-back has suffered a grade one hamstring tear.
Digne has been ever-present for the Toffees in the Premier League this season.
He has been a crucial cog in an Everton side which sit fifth in the table – two points off league-leaders Chelsea.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the injury, Robinson said: “A grade one tear is not good news.
“The club will be happy it’s not a rupture though, a full tear.
“Digne is going to be out for the West Ham game at least I should think.
“It is a huge blow for Everton because he’s one of their best players. There is a lack of depth in Everton’s squad. It is an area that needs addressing in the next couple of transfer windows.
“Digne is such an important player for them, both defensively and offensively. He will be a big miss.”
Everton welcome West Ham to Goodison Park on Sunday.
Rafa Benitez’s side are unbeaten at home this season.
