The current CEO of Leeds United has been with the Yorkshire side for eight years, and is known for being outspoken and prepared to engage with supporters directly.
Everton are preparing to move into a new stadium next season, and Kinnear has already shown his extensive experience in that department, having been commercial director at Arsenal when they moved to the Emirates in 2007, and Kinnear was managing director at West Ham when they moved to the Olympic Stadium.

Everton are looking to support new manager David Moyes as they transition from three years of austerity.
However, PSR concerns continue to linger over Everton, as according to finance expert Stefan Borson, the club are still close to their limit.
The former West Ham boss has established himself as the manager to lead Everton into thee future, after failed attempts with Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche.
It is also worth noting that Kinnear is the only senior figure from Leeds who predates the takeover of the club by NFL franchise, the San Francisco 49ers.
President of 49ers Enterprises and Leeds chairman, Paraag Marathe is leading a consortium attempting to buy Rangers.
With Kinnear potentially leaving Leeds, there is expected to be an exodus in the boardroom of Rangers, as both clubs could be set for a major overhaul.

Everton must keep hold of David Moyes to be successful
Football Insider Verdict
Following three miserable years, the Toffees now finally look to be turning a corner, thanks in large part to Moyes.
The “Moyesiah” as he is so affectionately dubbed, may be deserving of the title of most underrated manager in football, that, or the most underappreciated.
Following an astonishing Conference League win in his second stint in charge of West Ham, the Scottish manager was shunted out in favour of Julen Lopetegui.

The Hammers had failed to learn from their first attempt of ridding themselves of the former United manager, as they flirted with relegation under Manuel Pellegrini, and are now looking for a solution to their Moyes-shaped hole in the form of Graham Potter.
West Ham and their fanbase yearned for beautiful football, now they are 16th in the Premier League table.
However, the Hammers are not the only team who may be ruing the decision to let go of the three-time manager of the year, as Man United will face the Toffees in their next Premier League game, fans of the Red Devils would likely give an arm, or a leg, to have the kind of stability that Moyes has brought to his old club.
Everton are now doing the thing that worked so well for the Irons, hiring Moyes a second time, hopefully they learn from the mistakes of their East London counterparts, and hold on tight to their saviour.
