Everton in new talks as Moyes closes in onthree late deals – sources
Everton are set for a busy end to the transfer window with David Moyes keen to strengthen in three key areas, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed Moyes wants reinforcements at left-back, in central midfield and at centre-forward before the window shuts on 3 February.
The Merseysiders are currently locked in talks with Chelsea over potential solutions for injured striker Armando Broja, who is currently on loan at Goodison Park.
Discussions are ongoing over sending Broja back to the Blues and agreeing a separate loan deal for Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Everton are prioritising loan deals despite the recent takeover from The Friedkin Group as their financial situation still needs rectifying.
Moyes’ side won against Brighton on Saturday (25 January) but could be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the coming weeks after he was withdrawn through injury on the south coast.
Everton in talks with Chelsea over Broja solutions
Broja, who has a long injury history, has been out since his withdrawal in the FA Cup win over Peterborough earlier this month.
Everton have pulled seven points clear of the Premier League relegation zone after back-to-back wins over Brighton and Tottenham.

However, club chiefs will not be complacent about the threat of the drop and are working hard to finalise new arrivals before the window shuts.
The Toffees are next in action against 17th-place Leicester this weekend (1 February).
