Everton make ‘huge’ Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall transfer decision

Everton have no plans to lose Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and will turn down any offers for him when the January transfer window opens.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Everton will demand a “huge” fee to entertain talks about his sale.

Just six months after arriving from Chelsea during the summer window, the midfielder is already attracting interest from more of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

Everton signed Dewsbury-Hall for £28million in the summer, beating off interest from the likes of West Ham and Fulham who were on alert over his availability.

He has since established himself as a key player under David Moyes, and the Toffees are in a strong position as his contract is set to run until 2030.

Everton make Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall exit decision

Brown told Football Insider in October that Everton are confident of keeping Iliman Ndiaye amid interest from the likes of Man City and Arsenal.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that their stance with regard to all of their top players will be the same in January.

Dewsbury-Hall is a player I have a lot of time for,” he told Football Insider.

“I watched him a lot while I was at West Ham and would have liked to have taken him there, but he ended up moving to Chelsea and eventually now to Everton.

“He offers a lot to that midfield, he’s mobile, willing to get forward, can score goals and create them.

“I think Everton are a side that suits him perfectly, they’re very hard-working under Moyesey, so it’s no surprise to me that he’s been a success there.

“Obviously, with that success, other clubs start looking at him and those at the top of the Premier League are now said to be having a look.

“From Everton’s point of view, there are no plans to let him go, they don’t want to weaken their squad so it would have to be something huge for them to consider it.”

Jack Grealish update emerges amid Man City latest

Brown told Football Insider on 16 December that Everton’s move for Grealish has hit a snag, as they hope to agree a fee below the value of their option to buy.

Everton agreed a £50million option to buy Grealish as part of his loan move, but there is a growing desire from the Toffees to reach an agreement at a lower fee.

They are determined not to overspend and have other areas they wish to strengthen in the coming windows, and feel a £50million outlay could prove restrictive.

This comes after Brown told Football Insider that Man City are willing to negotiate with Everton over the price tag for Grealish to move on permanently.

Meanwhile, Football Insider exclusively revealed on 9 December that Grealish wants to stay at Everton and is not interested in a move elsewhere.
