Everton manager Koeman: Tottenham are stronger than Premier League duo

Everton manager Ronald Koeman believes Tottenham are “stronger” than Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal.
The former centre-back believes Spurs are the “best example” for his club when talking about progressing to the next level.
At this moment in time, the Toffees are fighting for Europa League places, while Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been fighting for the Champions League and the Premier League.
The London-based club have come a long way since Pochettino moved ito White Hart Lane from Southampton in 2014, including guiding them to their highest league positon in over 20 years last term.
Nonetheless, this is what Koeman had to say about Tottenham as he heaped enormous praise on their manager.

“The best example for us is a club like Tottenham,” said Koeman, as quoted by the Daily Express.
“[They had] many years trying to be part of the big teams and now, in my opinion, Tottenham is maybe stronger than Arsenal and Manchester United
“They have signed a lot of good young players for long term. I think it’s a really good way how they work under Pochettino. I think he is doing a fantastic job at Tottenham.”
Jose Mourinho’s United are sitting fifth in the table on 52 points from 27 encounters, with sixth-placed Arsenal two points behind the Manchester club.
By contrast, Spurs are second in the Premier League table on 59 points from their 28 matches, ten points behind leaders Chelsea.
Additionally, they are nine points ahead of seventh-placed Everton, who take on Merseyside rivals Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
Pochettino will be planning for an away trip to Burnley on the same day, with Sean Dyche’s side boasting an impressive record on home soil this term.
They have picked up points against the likes of Everton, Southampton, Chelsea and Liverpool following their promotion from the Championship.
