Everton set for late-window signing spree as Moshiri 'delighted' - Kenny
Farhad Moshiri will be “delighted” at Rafael Benitez’s work at Everton so far and may now sanction a flurry of late-window transfer activity.
So says ex-Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider ahead of the Toffees clash with Leeds tomorrow (21 August).
Benitez got off to a winning start with a 3-1 victory over Southampton last Saturday.
He received a warm welcome at Goodison Park despite his appointment initially being met with opposition due to his history with Liverpool.
Benitez has signed Asmir Begovic and Andros Townsend on free transfers so far this summer, while Demarai Gray joined for £1.7million.
But the Everton moneymen may be about to sanction further investment with less than a fortnight remaining in the window, predicts Kenny.

“It was always going to be a big occasion on Saturday,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“But they have had a good start to the season and everyone deserves a fair chance. It’s more than 10 years since he was at Liverpool.
“Players sometimes cross those borders with rivals, so I don’t see why managers can’t do it as well.
“It helps massively getting off to a good start at home. I’m sure the owners will be delighted with the reception he got.
“They might go and back him more now and get some signings in. They can be one of those teams fighting up there for the top six.”
