Everton medical now set to take place for deadline-busting arrival
Everton are closing in on the signing of Chelsea winger Tyrique George, with a medical now set to take place.
Negotiations between Everton and Chelsea for George have advanced in the last day, with a fee reportedly agreed on Sunday night.
The 19-year-old has made just 11 appearances for the Blues this season, but will be set to play a bigger role for David Moyes‘ team.
Jack Grealish is expected to miss almost the entirety of what remains of the season, after suffering a fracture in his foot.
Everton are still planning to sign Grealish permanently, but needed reinforcements ahead of their final 14 Premier League games.

Tyrique George medical booked
George looked set to sign for Fulham in the summer, after breaking through for Chelsea last season.
But after the Cottagers signed Kevin, and Harry Wilson‘s move to Leeds United fell through, the winger ended up staying put at Stamford Bridge.

This season, George has found minutes harder to come by amid the huge congestion at Chelsea.
The winger scored against Ajax in the Champions League in October, and netted against both Lincoln City and Wolves in the Carabao Cup, but he has made just one Premier League squad since the start of November.
But George will be a key part of Moyes’ squad at Everton for the rest of the season, at least.
Everton have agreed a loan deal for the England youth international, with the agreement set to include an option to buy.
Toffees insider The Bobble reported on Monday that George is now set to undergo a medical on transfer deadline day.
What Enzo Maresca said about George
George made his first Chelsea starts under Enzo Maresca, and claimed his first goal contributions at the senior level.
Instantly, the winger looked at home with the level, impressing fans with both his ability and his determination.
Speaking about him in January last year, Maresca said: “Tyrique was good. Tyrique is doing well for us. He has already played some games for us in the Conference League.
“He is the same age as Josh Acheampong so is very young but hopefully we can give them more chances and they can become an important part of this team.”
Maresca has now departed Chelsea, and George will hope that Moyes is the man to lead the next step in his development.
