Everton & Newcastle frontrunners in Jack Grealish race – ‘most likely’ deal revealed
Everton and Newcastle United are leading the race to sign Man City star Jack Grealish this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old wants to leave City in the off-season after being excluded from their Club World Cup squad.
Overseas clubs are expected to join Premier League sides in the chase for Grealish – who has fallen out of favour at the Etihad Stadium.
However, it is believed a deal will be difficult to do for any interested club. Sources say a loan deal, with City covering a portion of the winger’s wages, is the “most likely” outcome.
Grealish ‘most likely’ to leave Man City on loan
Grealish earns huge money with Pep Guardiola‘s side but is still seen as a top performer by potential suitors and could reignite his career with a move this summer.
The player is keen to feature regularly at any new club ahead of the World Cup in North America next year.

Grealish remains under contract at Man City until June 2027.

Everton resigned to losing Calvert-Lewin
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (6 June) that Everton are resigned to losing Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the end of June after he rejected multiple new contract offers.
Sources have now told Football Insider that any indications that he would sign a new deal passed a long time ago.
Calvert-Lewin, who has been with Everton since 2016, scored just three goals across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign.
