Everton player ratings v Huddersfield: Midfield regular an awful 4/10
Midfield
Tom Davies (Right-midfielder) – 4: Got booked and never looked like influencing the game in a positive way before he was subbed. The 19-year-old’s lack of pace was exposed a couple of times when he tried to break from midfield, but you couldn’t fault his effort.
Idrissa Gueye (Centre-midfielder) 8: Quietly got on with what was required of him, and was one of Everton’s unsung heroes today due to the way he held onto the ball.
Wayne Rooney (Left-midfielder) 8: Kept trying and was constantly rallying the team together. The striker’s best moment came when he created a golden opportunity for Calvert-Lewin, which the young striker took. With passing like that, Rooney is going to be great asset playing deeper for the Toffees.
