Kieran Maguire salutes Everton after ‘huge’ Bramley-Moore update
It is “essential” that Everton manage the run-up to the opening of their new stadium correctly otherwise potential sponsors will be detered.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest developments surrounding Bramley-Moore Dock.
The Toffees gave a number of ex-players a guided tour of the construction site on 16 November the latest in a long line of publicity-geared events.

Everton confirmed two days later that the first foundations have been laid after months of groundlaying work.
The new state of the art 53,000-capacity stadium is set to open its doors in 2024.
Maguire stressed the importance of positive coverage of the construction project as the club looks to secure sponsorship deals.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “It’s absolutely essential that they manage the run-up to opening night successfully.
“We are living in a 24/7 society with regards to the news and information.
“It gives the fans something to focus on, especially when things on the pitch aren’t progressing as well as they might have hoped.
“It’s a positive distraction. The other thing is that potential commercial partners, those who might be thinking about hospitality deals, are interested.
“They want to be able to start their planning. That’s huge if you’re thinking about sponsoring some part of the stadium.

“If you’re a commercial or marketing person working at a company, you want to know that plans at the stadium are going well.
“It helps to create a warm and fuzzy feeling too.“
