‘Everton set to make Jacob Ramsey call as Moyes mulls midfield decision’
Everton have emerged as a possible destination for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey and the outlook seems positive for the Toffees.
David Moyes is on the lookout for central reinforcements after Abdoulaye Doucoure left the club at the end of his contract.
Everton currently have Idrissa Gana Gueye, James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam to sit at the base of their midfield, but lack dynamic options further forward beyond Carlos Alcaraz.
Dwight McNeil has also done well as a No.10 over the past year but is one of just two natural wingers at the club alongside Iliman Ndiaye.

Everton lining up Jacob Ramsey bid
Nottingham Forest are understood to be keen admirers of Ramsey, alongside West Ham United, with the former on the lookout for potential Morgan Gibbs-White replacements.
However, Everton are also looking at concluding a deal in the region of £30million for the former England youth international, who registered four goals and seven assists in 46 appearances across all competitions last season — but had to settle for a large amount of substitute appearances.
What’s more, former Toffees scout Bryan King has told Goodison News that Everton’s new stadium on the banks of the River Mersey could give them the edge in negotiations for Ramsey — and other players moving forward.

“All three clubs are in similar positions, apart from what Forest did last year,” King said, referring to Everton, West Ham and Forest.
“I think Everton are now going to be a club that you can throw in the hat with teams of this nature, because the big thing is the new stadium. That could be a draw for any player.
“The training facilities at Finch Farm are first class as well, so anybody joining Everton is joining a very well-structured club.”

Everton set for Harrison Armstrong decision
While Ramsey could be the next midfielder in at Everton, Harrison Armstrong may well depart on another loan this summer.
The 18-year-old is highly regarded on the blue half of Merseyside but has just six senior Everton appearances to his name — totalling only 47 Premier League minutes.
Armstrong impressed on loan at Derby County during the second half of last season and now, the Rams wish to bring him back to Pride Park for another temporary stint.
However, Derby face competition from fellow Championship clubs Blackburn Rovers and Hull City for Armstrong’s signature.
Given his lack of experience, another loan in the Championship would be a great move for Armstrong, who can come back a year later to make an impression on David Moyes.
It’s shaping up to be a busy summer for Everton ahead of their stadium move, with the Toffees also linked with Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo.
