Everton tipped to complete right-back signing in January after Coleman reveal – pundit
Everton need to sign another right-back in the January transfer window, according to Kevin Phillips.
The 2000 European Golden Shoe winner, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, believes competition will bring out the best in Seamus Coleman, 33.
Coleman is one of a number of players struggling for the Toffees this season.

Phillips cited Andy Robertson’s improvement alongside Kostas Tsimikas as a reason why Everton should sign a new right-back in January.
“Seamus has been a class player over the years,” he told Football Insider. “He has been around a long time.
“It is an area that they need competition in. That might bring out the best in Coleman. It’s something I could see them looking at in January.
“Look at Tsimikas and Robertson at Liverpool. Tsimikas put pressure on Robertson and that has brought out the best in him. He’s gone up a level.
“Coleman has been at Everton a long time. Perhaps bringing in a fresh face in that position would be a wise thing to do.
“They need a couple of players in January because they have hit some really poor form.”

Coleman has made 11 Premier League appearances for Rafa Benitez’s side this season.
He put pen to paper on a new two-year contract at Goodison Park in July of this year.
