Everton tipped to sign five top-class players in January after Moshiri update – pundit
Everton boss Rafael Benitez could sign as many as five new players this January.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclsuively to Football Insider amid the latest on the Spaniard’s future.
As per the Liverpool Echo last Wednesday (15 December), the under-fire Benitez confirmed he is in regular dialogue with owner Farhad Moshiri ahead of the January window.

The Toffees have won just one of their last 11 matches, a run of form which led to the recent dismissal of director of football Marcel Brands and raised questions about Benitez’s future.
There was some respite for Benitez after his side earned a creditable 1-1 draw away to Chelsea last Thursday (16 December).
McAvennie claims if Moshiri is going to back Benitez, he needs to prove it inm January.
“If Everton are going to stick with Rafa then it needs to be shown,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“The easiest way to do that is in January, you can give Rafa the players he wants.
“It’s no good sacking Brands and backing the manager if the form doesn’t turn around and you sack the manager anyway.
“It sounds like Rafa will have the chance to build his own team and that’s what he needs.
“You can’t judge him, it’s not his team. Let him bring four or five quality players in this Janauary then let’s see where they are. I can see that happening.”
