Everton told to forget Che Adams and sign 28-year-old after journalist’s update – pundit
Paul Robinson has told Everton to forget Che Adams and concentrate on signing Memphis Depay this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one suggested Depay, 28, would be the ideal replacement for Richarlison at Goodison Park.
Frank Lampard is on the hunt for a new striker after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury.

According to The Telegraph‘s John Percy (14 August), Southampton striker Che Adams is at the top of the Toffees’ shortlist.
On 6 August, Spanish outlet SPORT reported that Everton have also approached Barcelona over a potential move for Depay.
The Netherlands forward is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp following the arrival of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
When asked by Football Insider who would be the better addition to Lampard’s squad this month, Robinson said: “I’d go for Depay all day long.
“He is great. I know he had his problems at Man United but he is a different player now. He has matured.

“I have watched him play quite a bit and I have been really impressed with him. In a similar way to Richarlison, he is versatile. He could play down the middle or out wide when Dominic Calvert-Lewin returns. He can do both.
“As a striker, he would make Everton better and stronger. If they can get that deal done before the window closes it would be great.”
