Everton transfer news: Sean Dyche priority signing revealed – sources
Everton will prioritise the signature of a winger this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Sean Dyche wanted to sign a couple of wingers in the January window.
And having failed, the Toffees manager will now try and sign a couple of new wingers in the summer transfer window.
O’Rourke told Football Insider that Dyche will be keen to sign wide players that can provide ammunition for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Everton to prioritise key area this summer
He did, however, explain that the Toffees will need to sell some current players in order to bring new faces to Goodison Park.
One big-name exit could involve defensive ace Jarrad Branthwaite, with sources telling Football Insider on Thursday (25 April) that Man United are confident of capturing his signature this summer.
O’Rourke added that Everton will be working with a small budget in the upcoming window, and will therefore predominantly look at loans and free transfers, much like they did last summer with the loan signing of Jack Harrison from Leeds United.

It remains to be seen what will happen with the current Toffees ace, with sources telling Football Insider on Sunday (21 April) that the 27-year-old is set to exit Elland Road permanently this summer.
