Everton ‘very keen’ on signing Jacob Greaves as new details emerges – sources
Everton are very keen on Hull City defender Jacob Greaves ahead of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old has impressed for the Tigers in the Championship this season and has helped them become contenders to seal a playoff place in the 2023-24 campaign.
But Greaves is now attracting interest from the Premier League and it is believed a move to the top-flight is likely if Hull aren’t promoted this season.
Everton are big admirers of the left-footed centre-back – but would need to remain in the Premier League to make a move for his services this summer.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that despite Hull’s ambition – they could well be powerless to prevent Greaves moving to the top-flight this summer.
Everton have strong interest in signing Jacob Greaves
He has made 36 appearances in the Championship this term, notching two goals and four assists.
The defender, who is widely regarded as one of the best in the EFL, has played 90 minutes in all but one of their second-tier games in the 2023-24 campaign.
Greaves penned a new deal at the KCOM Stadium in 2022 – keeping him at the club until June 2026.
Hull, who sit seventh in the Championship table with nine games of this season remaining, have the option to extend that deal a further 12 months.
Greaves came through the Tigers’ academy system and has made 170 total appearances for the club since his debut in 2020.

Everton sit 16th in the Premier League table with 10 games remaining this term.
