Everton whispers intensify over new manager appointment – sources

Everton are not set to panic over the future of Sean Dyche despite whispers intensifying over his future, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that he’s heard “nothing” regarding the links between Graham Potter and that role but is aware of the possibility of a managerial change at Goodison Park.

The former Chelsea boss is looking to return to work and has been linked with the England position.

Considering how long he’s been out of work, it would be considered a “risk” for him to replace Dyche at this stage.

Whispers over his future are taking place because of a potential ownership change at the Merseyside club, with John Textor pushing to take charge.

New owners typically come with their own ideas, which does put the future of Dyche in the air after Everton’s poor start to the season.

Everton could stick with Sean Dyche for now but his future is up in the air

Everton are currently bottom of the Premier League table after the opening three games of the season.

Dyche’s men have lost each game, having scored two goals while conceding 10 in the process.

Despite that, there is confidence that Dyche is the right man to be in charge and can turn things around.

Everton expect to move up the table once they start building some momentum as the squad is seen as strong enough to do so.

Everton will be back in action on Saturday (14 September) when they travel to face Aston Villa.
