Everton’s new owners want to replace Sean Dyche – Ex-Chief scout

Everton boss Sean Dyche could be replaced following the conclusion of The Friedkin Group’s takeover at Goodison Park.

This is the view of Sir Alex Ferguson’s former number-two and chief scout Mick Brown, who remains well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the new owners want to bring in an “all-singing-all-dancing” new option.

The Toffees announced last week (September 24) that an agreement over the terms of the sale of Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake has been reached with The Friedkin Group.

Amid plenty of speculation surrounding the manager’s future after a frustrating start to the season, there is a feeling that Friedkin will want to have their own man in charge.

This comes following Football Insider’s reveal that the club’s prospective new owners do not feel Dyche is the right man to lead the club into a new era.

With Everton set to move into a brand-new stadium next season, sources say the new owner does not view the current boss as a viable long-term option.

Now, Brown has claimed the new owners will want to revamp the style of play, starting with the manager, but insists they might regret their decision.

Everton takeover: Sean Dyche in firing line after new claim

Having won just one of their opening six Premier League games this season, pressure on Dyche has been growing at Everton.

Brown, who has a wealth of experience working closely with managers and owners at the likes of Man United, Sunderland and Aston Villa, questioned whether the new owners would be making the right call to make a change despite the club’s form.

We’ve seen what new owners are like when they come in,” he told Football Insider.

I’ve heard they’ll want to bring all-singing-all-dancing type football and managers.

Well, first of all, how many of those managers are out there and available?

We don’t know if the fella knows anything about football decisions or if he’ll just want to make changes for the sake of it.

It’s yet to be seen how wise the new owners are.

If they decide they want their own man, they’ll need the crowd to get behind a new boss because that can make all the difference.

If they come in just saying ‘We want this, we want that’, they’ll be indebted to a manager who can get these things working like Dyche has shown he can.

In terms of the money they’ll bring, we’ve seen from Newcastle they can have as much money as they like, but they can’t spend it.
