Every Crystal Palace game Daniel Munoz is expected to miss as crushing announcement made
Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz could miss the next six weeks of action after suffering a knee injury that needs surgery.
Daniel Munoz has proven himself as one of the best full-backs the Premier League has to offer since he joined Crystal Palace from Genk in January 2024.
He registered six goals and eight assists in 46 games in all competitions last term as they won the FA Cup and Community Shield, and has continued to impress this season with four goals and two assists in 23 games so far.
Chelsea are targeting a swoop for Munoz ahead of the new year, as revealed by Football Insider, while he has admitted that he would like to play for Man United with a potential January move on the horizon.
The Colombian international missed out on the Eagles’ trip to Fulham last weekend, and he is set to remain sidelined for at least another month following a new fitness update.

Glasner confirms that Munoz could be out for another six weeks
Palace boss Glasner played down fears of a long-term layoff for Munoz after he had been ruled out of the Fulham clash, saying: “His knee is a little bit swollen and of course we never take any risks…we are hopeful that he can return for the City game next weekend.”
The 29-year-old’s issue is clearly worse than first believed, with the Austrian admitting that he faces a spell on the sidelines in his press conference on Wednesday (10 December) ahead of their Conference League clash against Shelbourne.
He said: “It’s bad news. We will miss Dani for a few weeks, he will undergo surgery, knee surgery. The prognosis is four to six weeks that he should be ready to play.

“But again, when you have to undergo surgery, you never know. I had a few in my career, so that’s why we are always a little bit cautious. But it doesn’t look so serious.”
Nathaniel Clyne is expected to deputise for Munoz after starting against Fulham last time out, while Glasner has also called youngster Joel Drakes-Thomas into his squad for the Shelbourne clash as right wing-back cover.
Munoz to miss huge Man City and Arsenal clashes
Munoz is set to be sorely missed by Palace after some superb performances this season, especially considering the hectic winter schedule that they are now facing without him available.
Glasner has admitted that Palace will be cautious with Munoz, and so Football Insider have looked at the games he could miss using a five-week recovery timeframe.
