Every Leeds United game that Noah Okafor is set to miss as Daniel Farke reveals injury blow
Leeds United star Noah Okafor could miss their next five games after Daniel Farke revealed the extent of his latest injury blow.
Okafor provided an assist for Lukas Nmecha in Leeds‘ FA Cup win at Birmingham City last weekend before suffering a hamstring injury.
He was forced off at St Andrew’s as Farke‘s side went on to progress to the fifth round, and the Whites boss has now confirmed that he faces between two and four weeks on the sidelines.
The Switzerland international may well be unavailable until 15 March, as a result, and he will definitely miss their next two matches against Aston Villa and Man City.
Okafor could also miss further matches against Sunderland, Norwich City and Crystal Palace, with his absence undoubtedly set to make an impact after some impressive recent form.
Okafor has been in fine form after tough start to life at Leeds
Leeds signed Okafor from AC Milan for around £18million last summer, after he had struggled to find his feet in a short loan spell at eventual Serie A champions Napoli.
He scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win at Wolves in September, then followed that up with his second strike two weeks later to equalise against Tottenham at Elland Road.
The 25-year-old then went 17 games without a goal or an assist between October and February, ending his barren streak as he put Leeds 2-0 up against Nottingham Forest on 6 February.
| Date | Versus | Competition |
| Saturday, 21 February | Aston Villa | Premier League |
| Saturday, 28 February | Man City | Premier League |
| Tuesday, 3 March | Sunderland | Premier League |
| Sunday, 8 March | Norwich City | FA Cup |
| Saturday, 14 March | Crystal Palace | Premier League |
He netted late on to secure a vital point against Chelsea three days later, then set Nmecha up to score last time out against Birmingham, but will now be out of action for the next few Whites matches.
Daniel James, Anton Stach and Pascal Struijk returns are all big boosts for Leeds
Despite this latest setback surrounding Okafor’s fitness, Leeds fans will be pleased to hear that several key players are back fit and ready to face Villa this weekend.
Farke confirmed in his pre-match press conference that James, Stach and Struijk are all in full training ahead of Saturday’s match.
It remains to be seen how match-fit the former will be, considering how much he has struggled with injuries this season, but both Stach and Struijk look likely to be named in the starting eleven after respective layoffs.
