Every Man City game Ruben Dias is expected to miss after new injury update
Man City stalwart Ruben Dias could miss their next 11 games across all competitions as he faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Man City were held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon as Enzo Fernandez’s late winner earned the managerless visitors a vital point.
Pep Guardiola‘s side needed to keep the pressure on table-toppers Arsenal with a win to follow their victory at Bournemouth, but the draw means they have lost ground in the title race.
Vice-captain Dias has been key to their successes over the last five years since he arrived from Benfica, but is now set for some time out of the team after suffering a hamstring injury against the Blues.

Dias has been officially ruled out for up to six weeks by Guardiola
Dias made his 28th appearance of the season on Sunday, but it came to a premature end as he had to be taken off before Chelsea’s late equaliser.
The Mail reported following the clash that the Portuguese centre-back had sustained a muscle issue against Calum McFarlane’s side, with City‘s medical team running tests to figure out the severity of the problem.
Guardiola revealed that he faces some time on the sidelines in a press conference on Tuesday, with a timescale of “four to six weeks” set for his recovery.
Fellow defender Josko Gvardiol suffered a broken leg against Chelsea and could be out for the rest of the campaign, with Guardiola’s defensive injury crisis deepening with news of Dias’ setback.
The games that Dias could miss if he is sidelined for six weeks
City want to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace this month, as a result of their current injury struggles, with young centre-back Max Alleyne recently recalled from a loan at Watford to provide some much-needed cover.
Dias’ quality and extensive experience will be sorely missed as he recovers, and Football Insider have looked at the games that he could miss if he is sidelined for the next six weeks.
