Ex-Leeds United man left baffled by club chief after ‘really strange’ new development
Leeds United must learn from their mistakes and recruit heavily this summer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Victor Orta spoke on the club’s transfer plans.
Speaking on the Training Ground Guru’s scouting and recruitment webinar (22 March), Orta revealed the club will not move away from one of Marcelo Bielsa’s strategies.

He admitted the Whites will continue to operate with 18 “professionals” in their Premier League squad as well as having four youth players available.
Orta admitted the strategy is “risky” with the club suffering through an injury crisis this season.
Kenny agrees with Orta’s “risky” assessment and claimed the club must learn from their mistakes.
“I find it really strange that he has said that,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We have seen the issues they have had this season with injuries.
“They have had some big players missing for a large part of the season.
“Phillips has barely played, Bamford has hardly kicked a ball as well.
“That’s before you get to the likes of Ayling and the other players who have missed weeks at a time.
“They need players in, they need more than 18 senior players available.
“To me, that’s not enough. IN the Premier League you need more depth than that.
“Like I say, I find it really odd that he said that.”

Leeds are 16th in the Premier League, seven points off the relegation zone.
They are next in action against Southampton on 2 April.
