Russell Martin appears set to be sacked if Rangers cannot beat Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
The Bears lost 2-1 to Austrian side Sturm Graz in the Europa League on Thursday, 2 October, heaping further sack pressure on Martin.
Rangers sit just eighth in the Scottish Premiership despite their late 2-1 win over Livingston in their top-flight outing.
With the Gers already unlikely to enter the title race, Steven Gerrard has been backed to return to Ibrox, with Martin’s future looking increasingly bleak.

If Rangers lose to newly promoted Falkirk on 5 October, it would surely signal the end of the road for Martin’s largely disastrous Ibrox tenure.
Scott Arfield was a star player for the Glaswegian giants when they won the Scottish Premiership title under Gerrard in 2021.
Somewhat ironically, the 36-year-old could now push Martin towards the sack by helping Falkirk on their way to victory.

However, the Ibrox faithful will have fond memories of the former Burnley man helping them win the top-flight title in 2021 and the Scottish Cup in 2022.
Arfield joined the Gers from the Clarets in the summer of 2018, and the midfielder had an impressive impact in his first season in Glasgow, producing a career-best return of 12 goals and six assists across all competitions.
He went on to score nine goals and make four assists in the 2019/20 season, before his 12 goal contributions helped Rangers win the Scottish Premiership title following a successful 2020/21 campaign.
The Canada international spent two more seasons with the Bears, scoring a combined total of 15 goals before joining Major League Soccer outfit Charlotte in 2023.
