As revealed by Football Insider in January, Barcelona, PSG and Borussia Dortmund were all keen on signing the young winger.
RB Leipzig went as far as to make an approach for the teenager in December, with his old contract set to expire in the summer.
However, Hutton is impressed Philogene-Bidace has committed himself to Villa and suggested Christian Purslow’s plan to improve the academy is in full swing.

Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “It just shows you what Villa are looking to do. Christian Purslow has been out in the press from the start of the season talking about his academy and how he wants to improve.
“You want to tie your young talent down. There’s nothing worse than seeing a young player come through and then leave for next to nothing to go to another so-called big team.
“I think Villa are a breeding ground at the moment for very talented young players. It’s brilliant to see.
“I really hope that they can take it on, the likes of (Jacob) Ramsey coming through and getting his chance in the first-team.
“These youngsters can now look at him and aspire to be there also. There’s obviously a pathway there leading to the first-team. Dean Smith, as he’s proved to everyone, will give you the opportunity.”
