Exclusive: Agbonlahor feels sorry for Bielsa after big Leeds transfer update
Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed Marcelo Bielsa will be “frustrated” he cannot add to his threadbare Leeds United squad this month.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa and England striker insisted the Whites’ squad needs reinforcements as a lot of them have played the majority of the season.
Bielsa revealed ahead of his side’s trip to Newcastle United on Tuesday night that the club have not “contemplated” bringing in anybody in this transfer window.
He added: “I’m happy with the squad that we have, I’m comfortable with it and I feel we can finish the season with these players.”
Asked by Football Insider whether he is surprised Leeds are not working on any deals, Agbonlahor said: “Every club is different.
“It’s hard to comment when you don’t know clubs’ finances, you don’t know the finances available, maybe they can’t give him any more money.

“I’m sure he would want money to spend because Leeds are short in their squad. They need a few replacements, a few more players to add competition.
“A lot of their team has played most of their season so far, they’re going to need a rest and maybe that’s something which will be frustrating for him.
“But he’ll have to carry on with it and will understand we’re in different times and not all clubs have money to spend.”
Leeds spent in the region of £100million on players in the summer after they sealed their return to the Premier League.
The Yorkshire giants added Rodrigo Moreni, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Raphinha as well as converting the loans of Helder Costa and Illan Meslier into permanent deals.
