Exclusive: Aston Villa respond to Chelsea’s Morgan Rogers swoop
Aston Villa will do everything they can to keep star man Morgan Rogers amid new interest from Chelsea, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has caught the eye of Premier League elite duo Chelsea and Man City with his performances at Villa.
Unai Emery is desperate to keep hold of Rogers but Villa acknowledge they will have to accept offers that are too good to turn down.
However, the attacking midfielder is happy with the Midlands giants and interested clubs will have to stump up a mega-money fee to land the England international.
Rogers happy at Aston Villa amid Chelsea interest
Rogers only signed a contract extension in November 2024, with his new deal set to run until June 2030.
He has notched 14 goals and 13 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions for Aston Villa in the 2024-25 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who will cost Villa £15million after add-ons, has played as an attacking midfielder, centre-forward and on both wings for Emery’s side this term.
A potential Chelsea move would see Rogers reunite with friend Cole Palmer after their time together in the academy at Man City.

Aston Villa ready to sell Bailey
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (30 April) that Aston Villa plan to accept offers for winger Leon Bailey this summer.
Emery is keen to offload Bailey, 27, and bring in a new wide forward capable of providing more cutting edge.
He has just two goals and four assists in 37 appearances across all competitions this season.
