Exclusive: Aston Villa to terminate Samuel Iling-Junior’s deal, new move imminent
Aston Villa are set to terminate Samuel Iling-Junior’s loan spell at West Brom for him to join Italian side Pisa, sources have told Football Insider.
The winger has played 24 games in the Championship this term, but he is now set to return to Serie A for another loan spell, with Villa preparing to pull the plug on the 22-year-old’s stint at The Hawthorns.
Iling-Junior has scored once for West Brom during his loan move, but has started just 14 games since the start of the season for the second-tier strugglers.
The Baggies are in relegation trouble under Eric Ramsay after Ryan Mason was sacked earlier in the campaign, and they are now also set to lose Iling-Junior.

Aston Villa unsatisfied with Samuel Iling-Junior’s West Brom spell
Ramsay is already under huge pressure at West Brom after a dismal start to his reign, and the Black Country outfit are now just three points clear of the relegation zone.
Saturday’s defeat away at fellow relegation rivals Portsmouth prompted angry scenes from the away supporters after full-time, as their team’s winless run in the league extended to a sixth game.
Iling-Junior has struggled to find consistency amid all the turnover at West Brom this season, and it is clear that his parent club are not satisfied with the situation regarding his loan spell.
Aston Villa are set to bring that stint to a close on deadline day, with a move to Pisa already in the offing for the wideman.
Iling-Junior spent time with Bologna in the first half of last season, and was also on the books at Juventus before making the switch to Villa Park in the summer of 2024.

A return to Italy now looks increasingly likely for him in the final hours of the winter window.
Eric Ramsey among favourites to be next Championship sacking
Ramsay has taken charge of four games for West Brom so far, and has taken just one point from those outings.
The Welshman’s opening run in charge of the team has also seen heavy defeats against both Norwich and Portsmouth, and fans are already losing patience with his methods as relegation becomes a realistic possibility.
Ramsay is already among the favourites to become the next manager to lose his job in the Championship in the eyes of the bookmakers, with only Blackburn’s Valerien Ismael seen as a more likely candidate after last weekend’s results.
West Brom’s season is in tatters after a promising start, and it is now about to go from bad to worse as Iling-Junior prepares to depart.
