Exclusive: Bielsa told to sign PL star after Leeds agreed £19m deal in January
Alex Bruce insists Leeds United would be better off spending £12million on Southampton striker Che Adams than on San Lorenzo hitman Adolfo Gaich this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Leeds centre-back has tipped the Saints’ 23-year-old to seal a move after struggling to make an impact at St Mary’s this season.
Leeds have Patrick Bamford and Jean-Kevin Augustin as their centre-forward options this season, with the Frenchman joining on loan after their failed pursuit of Adams.
This site revealed back in May that Adams will be available for a fee in the region of £10million this summer as Southampton look to cash in on his exit.

Bruce believes that Marcelo Bielsa’s men would be better off signing Adams instead of Gaich if their prices are to be similar this summer.
Asked if he would rather see £12million spent on the Southampton man over the San Lorenzo ace, Bruce told Football Insider: “Yes, I would. I think Che Adams is a good player, I think he’s got good attributes.
“He can be a handful for anybody, any centre-half that plays against him. I would understand if he gets a move this summer to a decent club because he’s a good player.”
Adams is yet to score for Southampton in his first 27 appearances since joining the club last summer.
Gaich meanwhile has seven strikes in 27 games for San Lorenzo.
