Exclusive: Birmingham City work on blockbuster deal to re-sign Che Adams
Birmingham City are working on a deal to re-sign Torino forward Che Adams, sources have told Football Insider.
The 28-year-old striker has two years left on his contract in Turin after joining on a free transfer last summer.
Super-ambitious Birmingham have targeted Adams as they look to sign a proven spearhead capable of scoring 25+ goals in the Championship next season.
It is believed the League One champions will offer the Scotland international a big-money, blockbuster contract to lure him from Serie A.
Birmingham will table big-money Adams offer
Adams made the free transfer move to Torino last summer (2024) after walking away from Southampton following their promotion to the Premier League.
He has hit 10 goals and notched four goals for the Serie A club this season across 34 appearances in all competitions.

The 28-year-old is a proven entity in the Championship, having scored 49 goals in 156 games across spells with Birmingham, Southampton and Sheffield United.
Adams has also scored 25 Premier League goals and has hit six strikes in 33 caps for Scotland.
The striker’s best-ever season return came with Birmingham in the 2018-19 season, when he hit 22 goals across all competitions before sealing a move to St Mary’s Stadium.

Birmingham open preliminary Poku talks
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed earlier this month (17 April) that Birmingham have opened talks to sign Peterborough United winger Kwame Poku.
The 23-year-old has rejected a club-record Peterborough contract and is set to leave when his current deal expires this summer.
Birmingham are working on a deal to sign him as a free agent this summer but will have to pay a compensation fee.
