Exclusive: Brendan Rodgers ready to join Premier League club after explosive Celtic exit
Brendan Rodgers is keen to return to the Premier League after quitting Celtic, sources have told Football Insider.
Rodgers left the Glasgow giants on Monday (27 October) evening, with the Hoops eight points adrift of Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
Sources say that the Northern Irishman believes his track record in the Premier League, at Liverpool and Leicester City, makes him an attractive proposition for English clubs.
There would also be no compensation fee to hire Rodgers after his dramatic resignation, and his camp believe that could be key for clubs scouring the market for a proven top-flight manager.

Brendan Rodgers leaves Celtic on bad terms
Sources say that Rodgers has been holding out for a Premier League job over the past few months.
It helps explain some of his recent behaviour, which included public criticism of the Celtic board for a lack of activity in the summer transfer window.
Following Rodgers’ resignation, club owner Dermot Desmond slammed the 52-year-old for his recent actions in an explosive statement (Celtic FC).
Desmond said: “When we brought Brendan back to Celtic two years ago, it was done with complete trust and belief in his ability to lead the club into a new era of sustained success. Unfortunately, his conduct and communication in recent months have not reflected that trust.
“His words and actions have been divisive, misleading, and self-serving. They have contributed to a toxic atmosphere around the club and fuelled hostility towards members of the executive team and the Board.
“Every member of the Board and executive team is deeply passionate about Celtic and acts at all times with professionalism, integrity, and a shared desire for success. What has failed recently was not due to our structure or model, but to one individual’s desire for self-preservation at the expense of others.”
Rodgers linked with Premier League clubs
Before the appointment of Sean Dyche earlier this month, Rodgers was on the radar of Nottingham Forest.

Now there are rumours that the Northern Irishman could be in line to replace Vitor Pereira at Wolves.
However, given their current situation at the bottom of the Premier League, Rodgers is reportedly unlikely to take over at Wolves.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the former Liverpool boss is more likely to have his sights set on a move elsewhere.
