Exclusive: Cardiff City ready to sack Erol Bulut
Cardiff City are preparing to sack manager Erol Bulut this week following their dismal start to the season, sources have told Football Insider.
The Welsh outfit are rooted to the bottom of the Championship table after losing four of their opening five games in the club’s worst start to a campaign in 35 years.
The club are ready to wield the axe after just one goal and one point from their opening five games amid fears Bulut, 49, has lost the dressing room at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Bulut would become the third Championship manager to be relieved of their post so far this season, with Ryan Lowe and Steven Schumacher being sacked by Preston North End and Stoke City respectively.
Cardiff City languishing at the bottom under Erol Bulut
An impressive pre-season, which included a 3-0 win over Hamburg and a 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin has been quickly forgotten by the Cardiff City faithful.
Bulut’s side have only scored one league goal so far this season, albeit an important one in their 1-1 draw with rivals Swansea City.

The Turkish manager was only brought in over the summer following 18 months with Super Lig side Gaziantep FK.
It won’t get any easier for Bulut and Cardiff, they face promotion hopefuls Leeds United in their next Championship game on Saturday (September 21).
In other news, Stoke City, West Brom and Cardiff City race to sign Stelios Andreou.
