Exclusive: Celtic land £43m windfall

Celtic have landed more than £43million in prize money following another strong campaign, sources have told Football Insider.

The Glasgow giants were crowned Scottish Premiership champions for the fourth year in a row after finishing 17 points above their Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Their title victory is likely to have earned Celtic around £4.7million in prize money.

Brendan Rodgers’s side also enjoyed a successful season in the Champions League after finishing 21st in the revamped league phase of the competition to book their place in the knock-out rounds.

However, they were narrowly beaten 3-2 on aggregate by Bayern Munich after drawing 1-1 at the Allianz Arena.

Celtic landed around £38.2million in prize money from the Champions League across the campaign.

Meanwhile, the Parkhead club beat Rangers on penalties in the Scottish League Cup final, handing them an extra £400,000.

Rodgers’s side had a chance to claim a domestic treble, but they were beaten by Aberdeen on penalties in the Scottish Cup final.

Celtic earned £292,000 after finishing runners-up in the competition, taking their total prize money to £43.6million for the 2024-25 season.
