Exclusive: Chelsea respond to West Ham’s interest in Tosin Adarabioyo
Chelsea will not consider letting Tosin Adarabioyo depart in January amid reported West Ham interest, sources have told Football Insider.
The Irons have been linked with a potential loan swoop for the centre-back, 27, in the new year.
Adarabioyo only joined Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer after departing Fulham at the end of his contract.
The Man City academy graduate has made just five appearances in the Premier League, starting in three of those top flight outings.
He has had more action in the Europa Conference League, playing the full 90 minutes in five of their six continental fixtures this term.
Sources say Enzo Maresca is keen to keep his full senior squad together in January with Chelsea looking strong in the league and in cup competitions.
Injuries to Wesley Fofana and Reece James mean defensive exits are not an option for the Blues in the winter window.
Chelsea will not sanction Adarabioyo exit in January
Adarabioyo, who has made 83 Premier League appearances, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2028.
He is behind the likes of Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile in the centre-back pecking order under Maresca.

West Ham are on the hunt for defensive reinforcements despite moving to sign Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo in the summer window.
The Irons sit 14th in the table under Julen Lopetegui, while Maresca’s Chelsea are second in the Premier League after winning nine from 15 in the top flight this term.
