Exclusive: Chris Bedia jets in for Hull City medical today after deal agreed

Hull City have agreed a deal to sign Union Berlin striker Chris Bedia on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

Bedia, 28, is flying into England today for talks and a medical ahead of a move to the Championship club.

Hull have been looking for striking reinforcements all summer, and they have now agreed on a loan deal for Ivory Coast international Bedia.

Football Insider revealed that the Tigers had been in the race to sign Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, but they were beaten to the loan signing by Sheffield United.

Attention has now turned to Bedia to bolster Tim Walter’s attacking options after Hull kickstarted the season with three games without a win.

Oscar Estupinan has led the line in both of Hull’s Championship fixtures so far and has one goal from the penalty spot to his name.

Hull City are hoping Chris Bedia can provide more of a goal-threat

Bedia might not provide any experience playing in England, but he is a proven goalscorer across Europe.

Throughout his career, Bedia has scored 61 goals and provided 15 assists in 258 fixtures across all competitions.

Last season Bedia started the campaign at Servette before moving to Union Berlin, where he scored one Bundesliga goal in seven appearances.
