Exclusive: Club president confirms defender bid, Tottenham have watched his last four home games
Le Havre president Jean-Michel Roussier has confirmed to Football Insider that a host of Premier League clubs are chasing moves for Arouna Sangante in January amid interest from Tottenham.
Roussier revealed that the Ligue 1 side have already rejected a bid from a club he did not name for the highly-regarded centre-back.
Sangante, 21, is attracting significant interest from ]sides across Europe following his impressive performances for Le Havre over the last 18 months.

It is understood that Tottenham are keen on signing Sangante and have stepped up interest in him.
Spurs have watched his last four home games ahead of the transfer window reopening in January.
Le Havre are aware of the growing interest in Sangante and have already turned down one offer from an unknown club.
However, they are bracing themselves for further bids for the player next month when the window opens.
Sangante has played every minute in all but three Ligue 1 games this season and is the youngest captain in the top flight.
After helping Le Havre to promotion last season, he has been pivotal in getting them to 11th place in the league table.
He graduated from Le Havre’s famed academy and since breaking into the first team in the summer of 2021 he has gone from strength to strength.
“It is true we have had some interest in Sangante and mainly from English Premier League clubs,” Roussier exclusively told Football Insider.
“I believe as many as seven English clubs have been to watch Sangante here in Le Havre and also at away games.

“We received an offer from a club, but it was not suitable for us.
“In a perfect world if we receive a suitable offer in January that suits all parties, then hopefully we can have Sangante back on loan until June so he can finish the season with Le Havre.”
