Exclusive: Crystal Palace hijack Luton Town’s Mark Travers deal
Luton Town are in talks with Bournemouth over a loan deal for goalkeeper Mark Travers, but face competition from Crystal Palace, sources have told Football Insider.
Travers, 25, is set to find himself even further down the pecking order at the Vitality Stadium with the arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.
Luton have set their sights on the Republic of Ireland international as a potential replacement for Leicester target Thomas Kaminski.
But Palace are also keen on Travers and are looking into hijacking Luton’s deal by potentially signing him as a new number two to replace outgoing Sam Johnstone.
Kaminski has had a nightmare start to the season after being sent off in their game against Portsmouth for a moment of madness.
He initially brought down Paddy Lane with a ball played over the top, and after the referee played the advantage, Conor Ogilvie was then taken out by the Belgian.

Travers spent last season on loan at Championship side Stoke City where he made 21 appearances and kept five clean sheets.
The shot-stopper has found himself surplus to requirements at the South Coast club since Brazillian Neto joined from Barcelona back in 2022.

Luton are set for a busy end the transfer window as they seek to earn promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
In other news, Ipswich Town are in advanced talks to sign Luton Town forward Chiedozie Ogbene.
