
Exclusive: Crystal Palace’s Malcolm Ebiowei undergoing Oxford medical today
Crystal Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei is having a medical at Oxford United on Friday (2 August), sources have told Football Insider.
The 20-year-old is putting the finishing touches on his loan move to the Kassam Stadium.
Ebiowei spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan with Belgian Pro League outfit RWD Molenbeek, notching one assist in five appearances.
He is now set to return to the Championship after starting his senior career in the second tier with Derby.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal youngster has made five appearances for Palace at senior level – totalling 57 minutes of action.
He joined the Eagles on a free transfer in 2022 after departing cash-strapped Derby.
Ebiowei has made 28 appearances in the Championship during spells with the Rams and Hull City, scoring one and assisting two.
Ebiowei at Oxford for medical ahead of loan switch
The England Under-20 international plays primarily on the right wing but can also feature as an attacking midfielder and on the left.
Oxford are set to make the left-footer their latest summer signing after promotion to the Championship via the play-offs last season.
