Danny Mills has been left drooling over the “fear factor” Leeds United duo Eddie Nketiah and Helder Costa bring to the side with their pace.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds and England defender says that the pair, who are both new arrivals at Elland Road, can cause defenders serious problems with their speed and technical ability on the ball.
The duo have linked up for two goals already this season, Nketiah netting against both Salford City and Brentford after a low cross from Costa across the 12-yard box.
Mills says that the latest attacking additions at Elland Road fill opposition defenders with fear thanks to their lightning-fast pace and dribbling ability, having already demonstrated what they have to offer
Mills told Football Insider: “We all know pace is a huge fear factor for defenders, especially in this day and age when they get in behind, they can dribble as well. Once you get inside the area, it causes the defence all sort of problems.
“Nketiah’s got that, Helder Costa’s got that as well, that’s a huge plus for Leeds in those areas.”
Wednesday’s clash against the Bees was Nketiah’s first league appearance for Leeds, with Costa having already come off the bench in their earlier Championship fixtures.
In other Leeds United news, Noel Whelan has told Football Insider that one senior star has had a lucky escape after Marcelo Bielsa’s reveal.
