Exclusive: Danny Mills warns Leeds over 'very dangerous' imminent events
Danny Mills has urged Leeds United to expect “very dangerous” fixtures despite only facing one of the current top seven between now and the end of the season.
The former Elland Road defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the teams with nothing to play for may actually be the more difficult.
Of the current top-seven, Marcelo Bielsa‘s side only face third-placed Fulham with the promotion hopefuls meeting at Craven Cottage on March 18.
Mills cited bottom of the table Barnsley’s 3-0 upset of Fulham this weekend as a demonstration of how the lower teams may actually be more troublesome than play-off rivals.
“Sometimes teams who have nothing to fight for become very dangerous because they can relax, go out and play,” the ex-England international told Football Insider.
“They can play with freedom. Whereas normally when they would have played Leeds they would have sat back. That can be equally dangerous.

“On paper you have to say it is in Leeds’ hands. There is the ability and the potential to win the majority of those games.
“But we just saw Barnsley go to Fulham at the weekend. That is Barnsley going for it and forgetting about shutting down shop.
“They have nothing to lose. If they lose, they are bottom of the league. If they win they are bottom of the league.
“It is that mentality of just going for it. Sometimes it can work against you (Leeds).”
Comparably, Fulham, Preston and West Brom face six, five and four of the top seven respectively.
United currently sit second in the Championship having put a three-point buffer between themselves and the chasing pack with a 1-0 victory over Bristol City at Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, Noel Whelan told Football Insider Elland Road star is better than Premier League POTY nominee.
