Michael Brown believes Everton could face a double blow at left-back after Leighton Baines chose to hang up his boots.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Leeds and Tottenham midfielder suggests that first-choice full-back Lucas Digne will be a man in demand after his fine performances at Goodison Park.
As relayed by Everton via their official Twitter account, Baines has announced his retirement from football after 573 club career games and 30 appearances for England.

Everton previously confirmed that they had offered the 35-year-old a one-year deal to remain as part of the squad for next season.
Brown insists that manager Carlo Ancelotti had it “perfect” with Digne and Baines in his squad but warns that the France international could be lured away to leave the Toffees in a sticky situation.
Asked how big a blow losing Baines would be for Ancelotti, Brown told Football Insider: “He needs cover and I’m interested to see what interest there is on the left-back, Lucas Digne, because I think he’s got great quality, great balance and I think there’ll be a couple of people watching him as well.
“You can see why they like that cover, such a difficult one to find as a left-back, he had it perfect with Leighton Baines, who kept himself in great condition and was a great addition to step in.”
Digne, 27, played in all but three of Everton’s Premier League fixtures last season and missed just one of four cup games for the Toffees.
He has a total of 76 appearances under his belt at Goodison Park, as well as 30 caps for France.
