Exclusive: Dundee agree Paul Digby deal as medical booked
Dundee have agreed a deal to sign former Cambridge United midfielder Paul Digby with the player booked in for a medical, sources have told Football Insider.
Digby, 30, is a free agent, with his Cambridge exit confirmed ahead of the expiry of his contract this month.
A number of EFL League One and League Two clubs showed an interest in signing Digby, but Dundee have moved quickly to agree a deal for the former Barnsley and Ipswich man.
The experienced EFL star is set to play outside of England for the first time after a long career in the second, third and fourth tiers.
Digby set for Dundee medical
Digby joined Cambridge in 2020 and racked up 229 appearances for the U’s over five years, but has moved on in the wake of their relegation to League Two.
He made 36 appearances across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign, notching two goals and one assist.
Appearances | 229 |
Minutes Played | 19155 |

The Sheffield-born ace can play in a variety of midfield roles and at centre-back.
Digby came through the ranks with Barnsley and has also featured for Ipswich, Stevenage, Mansfield and Forest Green.
Dundee finished 10th in the Scottish Premiership in the 2024-25 campaign after being in a relegation play-off spot before the split.

Rangers make Coady move
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (9 June) that Rangers have enquired to Leicester City about signing Conor Coady.
Coady has a year left on his current deal but would have to take a wage cut if he stays with Championship side Leicester.
The Glasgow giants have made initial contact over a deal for the 32-year-old.
