Everton are plotting a bid to sign Ajax rising star Hossein Zamani, Football Insider can reveal.

The Merseyside club have turned their attention to the left winger, 16, as they look to recruit a player who has courted attention from some of Europe’s elite clubs.

An Everton source has told Football Insider that Zamani is set to leave Ajax this summer and is keen to move to England to an elite Premier League club.

This is encouraging for Everton’s recruitment team, who have been alerted by Zamani’s high technical level and status as one of the best young players emerging from Ajax’s prolific academy.

There have been suggestions that Zamani has agreed terms with FC Utrecht but Football Insider has learned that is not the case, amid interest from high profile clubs.

Zamani has been capped by Holland at youth level and played regularly last season for Ajax’s age-group sides.

He is regarded by the Dutch club, who reached the semi-finals of last season’s Champions League through outstanding contributions from their academy products, as a player with a big future ahead of him.

In other Everton news, it can be REVEALED that Silva has given the green light for international ace to leave Goodison Park after seven-figure bid.
