Exclusive: Everton set for £6m extra after naming rights deal agreed
Everton’s new stadium naming rights deal is likely to be worth £6million at most, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League side are set to move into their new 52,888-seater stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock this summer after playing their final game at Goodison Park last weekend.
Despite the development initially being projected to cost around £500million, it is now expected to set the club back more than £800million.
The Merseyside giants have confirmed Goodison is set to become the permanent home of Everton Women after they had initially planned to demolish the 39,572-capacity stadium.
Everton have now agreed a deal with Hill Dickinson for the Liverpool-based law firm to become the first naming rights sponsor at their new stadium.
Reports have suggested the deal could be worth up to £10million a year.
However, sources have told Football Insider the agreement is expected to be worth between £5-6million as the company is unlikely to pay much more than that figure, with its other operating charges totalling just over £20million last year.

Everton owners to take US approach
The Friedkin Group (TFG) is hoping the move will help significantly improve the Merseysiders’ revenues after completing its takeover in December.
Everton’s owners are looking to take a US-style approach towards matchdays at the new stadium.
The club’s revenue increased from £172million in 2022-23 to £187million last season, while their commercial income dropped slightly from £38.9million to £38.5million across the same period.
Everton will finish the season in 13th place as David Moyes’s side are unable to catch Crystal Palace in 12th and sit four points above 14th-place Wolves heading into their final game against Newcastle United on Sunday (25 May).

In terms of on-field matters, Football Insider revealed on 18 May Everton and Newcastle are keen to agree a deal for Sean Longstaff ahead of the summer transfer window.
Newcastle are likely to demand around £12million for the midfielder, who is out of contract at St James’ Park in June 2026.
The 27-year-old has started in just 12 of his 32 appearances this season after dropping down the pecking order on Tyneside.
