Exclusive: Everton turn attention to Nicolas Jackson after Bayern Munich reveal
Everton are keeping close tabs on Bayern Munich’s on-loan Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, sources have told Football Insider.
Sources say Bayern are increasingly unlikely to trigger their £70million option to sign the 24-year-old permanently and could allow him to return to Chelsea.
That is despite Bayern holding talks with Chelsea over Jackson in an attempt to negotiate a lower fee to bring the striker to Munich on a permanent basis.
As a result, David Moyes‘ side have now joined the race, with the Senegal international seen as a “Moyes-type” striker with the physicality and movement to lead the line.
Everton are determined to sign a striker in the January transfer window, and are now keeping tabs on both Jackson and Ivan Toney ahead of potential moves.

Everton make Nicolas Jackson plan after Bayern Munich latest
Since joining Bayern Munich from Chelsea on transfer deadline day, Jackson has scored two goals and provided one assist in 10 appearances across all competitions.
Jackson has hinted at wanting to join Bayern permanently after confessing he feels “at home” and is “very happy” shortly after leaving Stamford Bridge.
However, with Bayern now having second thoughts about a permanent move, Everton could move to tempt the striker into a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Moyes is concerned about Beto’s form, while Thierno Barry has struggled to impress since joining in the summer, and an ambitious move for a new striker could now be on the cards.
Meanwhile, Everton have been linked with Richarlison and Toney as they assess a number of alternatives ahead of the mid-season transfer window.

Ivan Toney on Everton’s radar with January move lined up
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 22 October that Everton hold a concrete interest in Toney and are expected to explore a deal in the January transfer window.
Reports have claimed Toney could leave Al-Ahli on loan in favour of returning to the Premier League to boost his chances of returning to the England squad.
Thomas Tuchel had previously indicated Toney could be part of his squad even when playing in the Saudi Pro League, but that stance has been questioned, leaving Toney frustrated.
Moyes has previously been complimentary of Toney, who he labelled “really intelligent” and insisted he has “an awful lot of good things as a footballer”.
However, Football Insider revealed on 14 October that West Ham are interested in Toney, while the likes of Tottenham, Man United and Aston Villa have been linked.
