Exclusive: ‘Exceptional Andoni Iraola is a Tottenham manager’
Andoni Iraola’s style of football at Bournemouth make him the perfect choice to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.
Former Spurs and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton told Football Insider exclusively Iraola “is a Tottenham manager” and would be the ideal candidate for the job in North London.
The Spaniard made a quiet arrival to the Premier League last season, leaving Rayo Vallecano to replace Gary O’Neil.
Having finished 12th in his first season in charge on the South Coast, Bournemouth enjoyed a phenomenal start to this current campaign.
The Cherries occupied a Champions League place for much of the season, and whilst performances have trailed off somewhat in recent weeks, Iraola remains a manager in demand with Real Madrid showing interest.

Tottenham eye Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, Oliver Glasner as Ange Postecoglou replacements
Postecoglou remains under serious pressure at Tottenham, even in spite of beating Eintracht Frankfurt and qualifying for the Europa League semi-final.
The Australian manager’s side have lost 18 Premier League games this season and sit 16th, having finished fifth last campaign.
Whilst the Spaniard remains highly sought after in both the Spanish capital and North London, Bournemouth are keen to extend Iraola’s contract.
The 42-year-old is one of several Premier League managers Spurs are looking at, with Fulham’s Marco Silva also in contention for the Tottenham job.
Oliver Glasner is another name linked with a move to Spurs, and with the Austrian having just a year remaining on his deal at Selhurst Park, may be an option if Daniel Levy fails to convince Iraola to jump ship from Bournemouth.

Alan Hutton convinced by Iraola choice at Spurs
When asked who he believed the best choice out of Iraola, Silva, and Glasner would be to replace Postecoglou, ex-Tottenham defender Hutton told Football Insider exclusively, via NewBettingOffers.co.uk:
“I like Iraola, I think what he’s done at Bournemouth has been exceptional, how he sees the game, how he wants to play, openly expansive at times but defensively very strong. They look to win the ball back quickly, be aggressive with their pressing.
“I think all those things suit a Tottenham team, and look, that’s the way Ange wants to play as well. It just happens that from time-to-time that they’re open.

“They play with a high line that goes two for two at the back, and you’re reliant on Van de Ven’s pace or Romero or whatever it may be, but when you’re playing at this top level, you get punished when you make mistakes.
“I think that’s kind of what happened to them. Look, the injury situation hasn’t helped, though maybe they need one or two for cover when it comes to the likes of centre-backs, but I think Iraola, the way he sees the game, that’s a Tottenham manager for me.”
