Exclusive: Fabian Hurzeler fighting for his job at Brighton after ‘fall-out with star players’
Fabian Hurzeler is fighting for his job after falling out with “several senior Brighton players”, sources have told Football Insider.
Hurzeler is under serious pressure after leading his team to six consecutive games across all competitions without a win.
The Seagulls have not won a Premier League game since the start of the year, and are only seven points away from the relegation zone.
Behind the scenes, relations between Hurzeler and Brighton stars has also suffered, according to sources close to the situation.
Tottenham have previously held interest in the 32-year-old amid their search to replace Thomas Frank in the summer, but that interest has cooled.
The German was appointed in the summer of 2024 and led his side to an eighth-placed finish in the league last season.

Fabian Hurzeler could be latest Premier League manager to face sack
Premier League clubs have gone sack crazy since the turn of the year. Enzo Maresca was the first to face the chopping block when Chelsea parted ways with the Italian at the beginning of January.
Ruben Amorim followed at Man United, and Frank and Sean Dyche were both dismissed last week.

Hurzeler is the favourite to get the sack next, although decision-makers at Brighton will give him every chance.
The German has been backed by transfer chiefs since his arrival, and he is unlikely to face the boot unless the situation becomes desperate.
Failure to win in the upcoming Premier League games could create exactly that effect, however, with Brighton in serious danger of being dragged into the relegation scrap.
Hurzeler has already lost the fans, and some of the players – to lose the board as well would mark the end of his tenure.
What has Hurzeler said about the Brighton situation?
February’s 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace at the American Express Stadium marked a turning point for many Brighton fans.
The Eagles’ narrow victory courtesy of Ismaila Sarr’s second-half strike is their only win from the last 14 games across all competitions.
Brighton were blunt and uninspiring despite the rivalry between the two teams, and Hurzeler was strongly booed at the final whistle.
“It’s the hardest moment, but it is also the moment where I try to get the most out of it,” he said after the game.
“Where I learn the most and will grow the most, so therefore I will face this adversity and I will get through.”
Brighton will travel to the in-form Brentford on Saturday, in the hopes of getting back to winning ways.
